George Ung is a Vice President of Customer Engagement within the Multifamily business. He leads customer engagement activities across Multifamily for the West region, with responsibility for strengthening customer relationships, supporting the customer network, and advancing strategic opportunities across the business. He brings particular focus to the Small Loan business, helping connect customers with Fannie Mae’s financing solutions and supporting access to affordable housing opportunities nationwide.
Prior to becoming Vice President in 2026, George served as Senior Director, Multifamily Customer Engagement at Fannie Mae, where he led customer network development and customer support activities and helped drive customer relationships and Small Loan business strategy. Before joining Fannie Mae in 2022, George was Director, Multifamily Credit Underwriting at Freddie Mac, overseeing western and north central region underwriting and credit for Small Balance Loans.
Previously, George held leadership roles in commercial real estate lending and underwriting at Banc of California and Kinecta Federal Credit Union. Earlier in his career, he managed commercial real estate assets and special assets portfolios, building broad experience across the multifamily and commercial real estate financing lifecycle.
George holds a Master of Business Administration in real estate from the Paul Merage School of Business at the University of California, Irvine, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Law and Society from UC Irvine.
