Daniel Din
Dan Din is Vice President, Multifamily Underwriting Specialty Products at Fannie Mae. He is responsible for leading our Multifamily Affordable Housing (MAH) and Structured Credit Underwriting teams.
Prior to this role, he was Managing Director, Credit and Strategic Initiatives at NewPoint, where he focused on developing and launching strategic initiatives, as well as aligning credit strategies with NewPoint's overall business objectives. Prior to joining NewPoint, Dan was Senior Managing Director and Co-Head of Multifamily Housing at Kayne Anderson Real Estate, where he oversaw the strategy and investments of an equity fund focused on housing attainability, sustainability and social impact. Before joining Kayne Anderson, he served as a Senior Product Manager for Amazon's Housing Equity Fund, managing a $2 billion commitment to affordable and impact housing. Dan also spent nearly 14 years at Freddie Mac, most recently as Multifamily Vice President of Underwriting and Credit, where he oversaw the company’s businesses in Affordable Housing, Structured Transactions, LIHTC Equity Investments, and Seniors Housing. Over his career, he has been involved in more than $100 billion in real estate transactions.
Dan earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from The University of Virginia, a Master of Science in Information Systems Technology from The George Washington University School of Business, and an MBA in Real Estate from Johns Hopkins Carey Business School. He serves on the national capital region advisory board of Entryway (formerly Shelter to Shutters) and is a member of NMHC's Workforce Housing Committee.
