Mission

To provide support to, and encourage, DUS lenders as we work together to foster diversity, equity and inclusion at all levels of our industry, as well as work to educate and expose the broader communities served by the DUS industry to the career opportunities within the multifamily housing industry. This will be accomplished by investing for the long term to help underrepresented individuals find fulfilling positions within multifamily housing finance and to provide ongoing support to realize each individual's full potential.

The Subcommittee has three workstreams:

Partnerships/ Scholarships

By developing partnerships with Future Housing Leaders, Project Destined, the Mortgage Bankers Association, and others, this group encourages DUS lenders to become involved through internships, scholarships, and coaching.

Marketing and Communications

This workstream creates and advances content to raise awareness and engage DUS Lenders and their employees in supporting and promoting the DEI initiative.

Network and Sponsored Events

This team identifies, plans, and implements events helpful to DUS lenders and their employees. This has included book talks, panels, trainings, and roundtables.
